You jump to the left and barely avoid the attack. With his paw on the ground, you swing your sword at him, getting one of his fingers. Your sword slices clean through, and the dragon pulled back in pain. \n\n[[Attack now!]]\n\n[[Hold back.]]
It's been nearly a year and a day now and you are getting nervous about your shot. When your head gets chopped off, you die! You're not like the Green Knight in that way. You are a knight, however, and you have to live up to your challenges, and you are leaving for yours soon. \n\nYou get suited up for your trip to the Green Knight's castle. The lords and ladies come out to bid you farewell and you are draped in beautiful furs and armor. Then you are given the shield of the knights, with it's five points of the star representing the five major qualities of a knight. \n\n[['He struck the steed with the spurs, and sprang on his way so strongly the stone-fire sparked out thereafter']]
You get onto the path that the man talked about. The path is well traveled, which is strange considering what the man said. You feel confident that you are almost there. \n\nUntil you hear a deep voice before you. \n\n<b>"You have entered my land tiny knight."</b>\n\n[[Turn around]]
A large dragon sits on a rock very close to you. His stealth amazes you, you had just walked by and there was nothing there. Startled, you grip the holster to your sword. \n\n<b>"Do not try and slay me, tiny knight,"</b> the dragon bellows, <b>"your sword cannot pierce the likes of me."</b>\n\nThe dragon flexes his wings and shows his armored belly. \n\n" [[I am not here to hurt you, I am here simply to visit the Green Knight]] "\n\n" [[I will kill you, foul beast! There is no place in England for a thing like you!]] "
You stab your sword at the man on the Right. He was the closest to you and your sword goes through him smoothly. As you pull your sword back out, the man falls down in a slump. Clearly upset, the remaining Woodman shouts and runs at you. Lifting your sword, you get him, too. \n\nWith the three of them down, you get the fish and go. \n\n[[Continue on your journey.]]
You are Sir Gawain.\n\n1 swing for 1 swing with a year and a day time difference between the two, that's what the Green Knight said as he stormed into King Arthur's court. You get to swing first and, of course, the Green Knight gets his turn in exactly 1 year and a day. On your swing, you chopped his head off. It would have been perfect except for the fact that after you chopped his head off, he just picked it right back up again! The Green Knight lived despite the fact that he had no head! \n\nThe Green Knight then ran out of the court, carrying his head and reminding you of your deal as he left. \n\n[[Now you have to wait a year and a day.]]\n\n
You swing at the one on your left. He was the first one to throw his sword at you. As you run at the man on your left, he makes a half smile. You wonder for a quick second why he is smiling.\n\nUntil you feel a sharp pain in your back. You look down and see part of a sword sticking out of your stomach.\n\nYou feel someone get close to your face from behind and hear a scruffy voice in your hear.\n\n"Gottcha."\n\n[[Try this battle again?]]

You jump back away from his attack, but he is quicker than you and gets you right in the chest. \n\nHis sword must be very sharp.\n\nBecause your armor did nothing. \n\n[[Try this battle again?]]
You leave the woods and continue on your journey. \n\n"Now rides this knight through the realm of Logres,\nSir Gawain, in God’s name, yet no game it thought.\nOft friendless alone he lay long a-nights,\nwhere he found no fare that he liked before him.\nHe had no friend but his steed by furze and down,\nand no one but God to speak with on the way,\ntill that he neared full nigh to northern Wales.\nAll the Isle of Anglesey on the left hand he held,\nand fared over the fords by the forelands,\nover at Holyhead, till he reached the bank\nin the wilderness of Wirral"\n\nYou decide to rest on the beach among the cliffs. You've been traveling for days and the cliffs provide a nice protection from the wind, as well as providing nice caves you could hide in.\n\nWhile you are setting up logs for a fire, you feel like you hear some strange noises. \n\n[[It's probably nothing.]]\n\n[[You should probably investigate. It might be important.]]
You decide to camp for the night. \n\nYou start a fire and tie your horse to the nearest tree. As you lay down for sleep, you realize you probably made the right decision because you can hear a pack of wolves howling in the distance. They must have caught something. \n\nThe next morning you thank god for your safe night and get on your horse and head back to where you think the trail leads. As your walking along you realize that the forest is thinning out ahead of you. You're almost out! Yay!\n\n[[Continue out of the woods.]]
You travel for many more days and have asked many towns where the Green Knight is. Most of the villages had no idea what a Green Knight even was, but recently someone you talked to knew what the heck you were talking about.\n\n"I saw the Green Knight a while ago, but it's something you can't really forget. A man of Pure Green! Hah! He went down that path through the woods down yonder. I would be careful, though. Not many people travel by that path."\n\nThe tone of his voice in his warning catches you off guard, but you are unfazed. You are a knight of the Royal Court and you are not afraid of the forest. \n\nYou must be getting close! \n\n[[Onward!]]
Your journey starts off easy. The road has been traveled often. You are not surprised, King Arthur's court is a pretty popular place. Eventually, however, you reach a fork in the road. You have no idea where the Green Knight lives. He just said that people will know and tell you. So I guess you have to do some exploring.\n\n[[Left seems to go down into a grassy field.]]\n\n[[Right seems to go through a forest.]]
You are back at that fork in the road. \n\n[[Left seems to go down into a grassy field.]]\n\n[[Right seems to go through a forest.]]
You raise your shield, but it breaks. The flames come all the way down and hit your armor, making it sweltering hot. You feel sweat form inside your suit as the temperature rises. \n\nThe dragon lands this time and swats at you. \n\nYou feel the claws hit your armor, and it protects the first blow, but you are thrown then against a boulder. \n\nYou look back up at the dragon, just as he makes his final, finishing, blow. \n\n[[Fight the dragon again?]]
In the village you ask around. Seems like no one here knows where the Green Knight is. \n\nI guess [[you could go back to that fork in the road]]
<b>"No one enters these woods without my permission"</b>\n\n"I'm very sorry, beast of the forest, but I wish you no harm. I am simply passing through." \n\nThe dragon flexes his wings, then, and you are startled at his massive size and armor over his belly. \n\n<b>"Normally, I would simply let you pass. But I haven't seen any animals in these parts for a while, and you are the first meal that I've seen in a while."</b>\n\nWith that the dragon flew up and dived down at you. You lift your shield and block the flames that billowed out of the dragons open mouth. \n\nThe dragon flies back up again and turns back at you. \n\n[[Block again]]\n\n[[Attempt to swat at the dragon]]
<b>"Then I cannot let you live"</b>\n\nThe dragon then flew up and dived down at you. You lift your shield and block the flames that billowed out of the dragons open mouth. \n\nThe dragon flies back up again and turns back at you. \n\n[[Block again]]\n\n[[Attempt to swat at the dragon]]
There really is nothing here. You're just resting by the cliffs. Footsteps are just a fish flopping on sho-\n\nAs you're thinking this, you get hit on the head and knocked out. \n\nWhen you come to, everything is gone. Your horse, your armor, your rations, everything. And you are still hundreds of miles from home. Maybe you can find your way back with no protection or food. \n\nBut I doubt it. \n\nYou do not reach the Green Knight.
You continue on your path, tired by the journey you have taken. \n\nAs you walk through the forest, you see a castle ahead of you. As you walk in, you are welcomed with open arms. Lords and Ladies rejoice at your quest. On top of that, you still have 3 days resting time before you need to see the Green Knight! \n\nHopefully those days will be filled with preparation for the battle ahead. \n\n<b>You completed your journey successfully. Good job!</b>
You are Sir Gawain
You try to make your way around the woodmen. Their fish is stacked in a pile by their belongings. Luckily, they are facing away and laugh together over some story. Sneak around the back, as quietly as you can. You grab a fish and smile to yourself as you turn around. \n\nThe three of them are staring at you, swords drawn. \n\nArmor isn't very quiet when you're trying to sneak. \n\nIt's also very heavy when they throw you into the ocean. \n\nYou do not reach the Green Knight.
You draw your sword and begin to swing at the wolves below you. You get one right in the face! It falls back with a loud yelp and two more come at you. Your horse bucks and kicks one in the face. This one drops dead instantly. The wolves then begin to bark at each other and they turn and run. With two wolves down, the others must have become afraid of you on your big horse. \n\nYou continue out of the forest and out into a field. It is now the morning, you have been walking all night! While you are tired, at least you are out of the woods. \n\n[[Continue out of the woods.]]
Holding back for a second, you wait to see what the dragon will do next. \n\nThe dragon howls in pain, gripping his paw. He then turns back to face you. His eyes are red with anger.\n\nThe dragon then breathes a massive flow of fire at you. Your armor, already much too hot from the first wave, does not meet the second with much effectiveness. You are thrown back by the power of the heat and flames and are forced to fall back. The dragon then throws his healthy paw at you, claws out, and it slices right through your weakened armor. \n\n[[Fight the dragon again?]]
You carry on into the night. \n\nThe longer you're out here, the more uneasy you feel. You are also starting to feel as if you are being watched. You poke your horse with your spurs to get him moving a little faster. The sound of hooves on leaves quickens as your horse increases speed. Then you start hearing foot steps that aren't yours. Many footsteps in fact. You look down behind you and your horse and you see about 4 or 5 wolves following behind you. Panicking, you look forward again and you can see the forest thinning out ahead of you. You're almost out of the woods! \n\n[[Try to run out of the woods, maybe you'll get out before the wolves do!]]\n\n[[Fight the wolves so you can get out of the forest safely!]]
You use your shield to block his attack and then run to get your sword. As you make your way across the rocks, you finally make your way to your sword. You grip it at the hilt and you turn sharply back to the two woodsmen. \n\nBoth of them are after you, now, and you plan on who to attack next. \n\n[[Attack the guy on the Right.]]\n\n[[Attack the guy on the Left.]]
You raise your sword and shout at the top of your lungs a humongous\n\n<b><i>"AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!" </i></b>\n\nand you lunge at the men. They jump, clearly in surprise and you manage to hit one right in the head. \n\nBut you still have the other two. The one on your left pulls out his sword and jumps toward you. \n\nYou have to dodge his attack, what do you do?\n\n[[Jump Left]]\n\n[[Jump Right]]\n\n[[Block]]
As you slowly make your way around the cliffs, you see three wild woodsmen that seemed to be haunting the crags. It's a good thing you came to investigate, because they don't appear to see you. They are all sitting around a fire eating the fresh fish you caught. Actually, now that you think about it, you're feeling pretty hungry. Your rations are running a bit low and you could really go for some fish right now.\n\n[[You could either sneak around and try to steal some of their fish without their knowledge.]]\n\n[[Or you could just run in and kill them all.]]
You block again. \n\nAs the flames hit your shield, you feel your shield shakes a bit and you feel it getting more and more brittle. \n\nBut the dragon once again flies back into the air. \n\nHe must know that your shield is weakening. \n\n[[Attempt to swat at the dragon]]\n\n[[Block once more]]
You continue putting up logs for the fire. That noise must have just been the wind or maybe a seagull. There is nothing out here but marine life, really. Speaking of which you are feeling a bit peckish. Maybe you'll go fishing sometime soon. \n\nThen you hear some noises again. Sounds like footsteps. \n\n[[You should probably investigate. It might be important.]]\n\n[[Nope. Nothing.]]
You attempt to block his attack but he knows his sword fighting. His sword hits yours, then swings it so your sword goes flying. It is now a few feet feet away, among the rocks near the sea. \n\nYou may be able to grab it. \n\nBut he is already swinging again. \n\n[[Run and get your sword.]]\n\n[[Jump back away from his attack.]]\n
You jump to the right and barely avoid the attack. With his paw on the ground, you swing your sword at him, getting one of his fingers. Your sword slices clean through, and the dragon pulled back in pain. \n\n[[Attack now!]]\n\n[[Hold back.]]
You jump right. His sword just barely misses you, but now the second man is throwing your sword in your direction. \n\n[[Block]]\n\n[[Jump Left]]
You enter the forest. The path winds through out and clearly hasn't been traveled for a while. Soon, the path appears to fade out completely to be replaced by the floor of leaves. On top of that, the sun seems to be going down, too. \n\nDo you want to keep going forward into the night and see if you can get out yourself or would you rather make camp for the night instead and start again in the morning? \n\n[[I'm a knight! I'm not scared of no darkness! Keep going!]]\n\n[[It would probably be wiser to camp for the night.]]
You try to out run the wolves, but they catch up to you. More come out of the trees and surround your horse. Your horse, spooked by the wolves, bucks and throws you off. You hit the ground with a hard thud and your horse runs off, being chased by 2 or 3 of the wolves, while there are still a few of them around you. \n\nYou draw your sword, but it isn't quick enough. One of the wolves grabs your arm in his teeth while another one bites your leg. Having armor may be nice for siege weapons and fights against humans, but it is worthless against this pack of wolves. \n\nYou do not reach the Green Knight.
With your armor taking most of the blow, you thrust your sword up at the dragon and knick his nose. The dragon made a yelp of pain at that and landed on the ground. \n\nRaising his large paw he swats at you. \n\n[[Jump to the right]]\n\n[[Jump to the left]]
You run at the dragon, trusty sword out, and shield at hand. While he was distracted, the dragon did not notice as you stab through his fierce armor and straight into his tender underbelly. \n\nA final cry came from the dragon as he lifted his head then fell to the ground. \n\nYou can now say you have defeated a dragon. \n\n[[Go to the Green Knight.]]

You raise your sword and shout at the top of your lungs a humongous\n\n<b><i>"AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!" </i></b>\n\nand you lunge at the men. You jump left, but the man catches you with his sword. You are thrown to the ground, your sword falls too far away for you to reach it. As you try to stand with your armor, one of the men put their foot on your chest to hold you down. \n\nThe last thing you see is a rock being held above your head. \n\nAt least they killed you quickly. \n\n[[Try this battle again?]]
You walk your horse over a grassy hill and you see a small village in the valley. Gentle smoke floats up from the small houses down below. \n\n[[Go into the small village.]]\n\n[[you could go back to that fork in the road]]
